Skincare ingredients to avoid if you have irritated skin:
Acids – Alpha Hydroxy (AHA), Beta Hydroxy (BHA), Lactic Acid
Alcohols – denatured alcohol, benzyl alcohol, and witch hazel
Cooling Ingredients – menthol, camphor, mint, wintergreen, peppermint
Essential Oils – lavender, eucalyptus, citrus, bergamot
Fragrance – synthetic fragrances, parfums, linalool, citronellol, cinnamal, limonene, geraniol, eugenol
Parabens – preservatives
Phthalates – fragrance carriers and softeners that could affect immune and endocrine systems in babies and adults.
Sulfates – Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate. Harsh cleansers that can strip the skin of its natural protective barrier.
Scrubs – seeds, beads, sugars, salts are harsh and irritating for skin that has eczema and rashes.
Urea – is a synthetic humectant and exfoliant that is used in some foot creams. At high levels urea can be very sensitizing and cause irritation, which is why Skinfix uses more natural and safer ingredients.
